Lord, God, the maker of heaven and
earth you alone are worthy of our praise and worship. You have
created us in your image and your Word tells us that we are
“fearfully and wonderfully made”. You alone, are the provider and
sustainer of life. Nothing has breath except that you ordain. We
are in awe of the works of your hands and thank you that your ways
are higher than our ways and your thoughts higher than our
thoughts.
Lord, we offer up our prayers for
the Peru Mission trip. We ask that you bless Drew, Laura Beth,
Wayne, Larry, Debbie, Aaron, Toby, Mike, and Jeremy as they travel. We trust
in you to provide safe travel and protection from illness and harm.
We join with them in recognizing the many needs in the orphanage and
in the city of Cusco. We ask that you give them hearts to meet
whatever needs that you present before them and that you work
through them in a mighty way to meet those needs.
We pray for the
children of Cusco. We ask that you will reveal yourself to them and
call them into a relationship with you to mend broken hearts and
broken homes. Lord, these are your children. You have not forgotten
them. Let them know of your greatness and provide grace for
them. Your Word says that you are “patient…not wanting anyone to
perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” We ask that through
their work, the message of grace and repentance be presented in the
words they say and the things they do.
Now, Lord, we
thank you for an opportunity to be involved in the lives of others.
We ask that you glorify yourself in this Mission Trip and that you
draw children and adults nearer to you. We pray this in the high
and matchless name of Jesus. Amen |
